Love your symptoms for they are the road map to your health. The homeopath looks for the story the symptoms are trying to tell us about the nature of the illness being experienced. Homeopaths look at symptoms in the context of the whole person to understand what the symptoms are pointing to.
Symptoms as a Guide to Healing
In homeopathy, practitioners do this because symptoms are guiding lights that reveal the nature of the inner disturbance. A mysterious pattern underlies the symptom image that may not be considered logical. It is something more poetic, like the stories that a dream tells.

The job of the homeopath is to decipher the underlying pattern of the symptoms to see what substance in nature they are pointing to, just as a dream interpreter seeks to understand the meaning of dream symbols so that the dreamer may better understand himself.
Love Your Symptoms
So please love your symptoms. Without them it would be like a night without stars. We would be like a ship in the ocean trying to navigate our way home, but we have no star light to guide us.
