LM Potencies vs. Centesimal Scale Remedies

LM Potencies vs. Centesimal Scale Remedies

There are various ways to take homeopathic remedies. What I would like to do today is tell you about the two methods that I use most often:

Centesimal Scale Remedies

The centesimal scale remedies are the ones you see identified with the letter C after the number.  The dilution ratio is one part medicinal substance to 99 parts water, with a certain number of succussions between each dilution (Different texts give different numbers for the amount of succussions.) The standard interval range for the centesimal scale remedies is : 6C, followed by 9C, 12C, 15C, 30C, 200C, 1M, 10M, 50M, CM, DM. I have heard one teacher say that this is a logarathmic scale, meaning that as you go higher up the scale you need a greater amount of potentization in order to equal the difference that you get from the interval in the lower potencies. Some people contest the intelligence of using this scale and have suggested using the Fibonacci intervals, which is also very interesting and worth exploring.

Enough of the science, so what is the practical application of how to work with centesimal scale remedies: The potencies I work with the most are the 30C, 200C and 1M potencies. I very rarely will go higher than these potencies. When working with remedies of this strength I will give the dose only one time and not repeat until there is definite evidence that the person has been better and is now relapsing. I create a base-line chart of their response at seven weeks from when they took the remedy, which serves as a guide to repetition. I only repeat if symptoms that have been better move backward for a while.

The way centesimal scale remedies work is that they go in, search for the symptoms they need to work on, and get to work. Sometimes the effects are subtle and people may not even notice that there are changes taking place until they are reminded at the follow up of the symptoms they had before they took the remedy. They remember that they used to have headaches, back pain, depression and now they are not experiencing those symptoms. Yes, indeed, their symptoms have improved.

The remedy will bring up symptoms in the person’s health history as a part of the healing process, in order to  address them. If these old severe were very concerning in the past, the patient may be alarmed at their reappearance (such as a history or heart pain or arthritis). It is important not to repeat the remedy when this happens, because this is a sign that the remedy is on the job and retracing symptoms from the past in order to heal them.. These old symptoms usually cycle through within three to four days.

Symptoms may aggravate or increase in intensity for awhile before they get better. That aggravation can vary in intesity depending upon the potency of the remedy taken, how long the symptom has been there, how much suppressive treatment the person has had, overall health and vitality of the person, and other factors.

The duration of the aggravation or what I call the initial response time on the remedy also varies with the potency of the remedy, the age of the client, how long the symptoms have been present and how deeply rooted they are. The healing process can unfold over the course of  a few days in an acute illness, or over the course of weeks, or months in chronic cases. The lower potencies will often have a shorter aggravation period, and the higher potencies often have a longer aggravation period, but not necessarily so.

How long the single dose centesimal remedy holds also varies with the potency. A rough estimate of the duration of  action of a remedy is approximately three months for the 30C dose, but I have seen 30C dose remedies hold a year and a half and longer. They also can cure the symptoms altogether.

The 200C strength holds on average for six to eight months. For many people it only holds two to three months, and for others it can hold for four or five years, and again it can cure. The higher potencies have the potential to work even longer.

I avoid using very high potency remedies because the aggravations can be very long lasting and very intense, and they can pull anyone under their influence, even if they would not be susceptible to that remedy in lower potency.

Some people prescribe 30C potency and 200C potency remedies daily, and they claim that they do not see any negative affects from doing this. I never practice in this manner, not just because it goes against my training, but also because I feel it is too aggressive. An analogy I have given to many people is that it is like putting your finger on the light switch and turning it on and off constantly to keep the light on, whereas all you really needed to do is flick the switch once and let the light shine. You do not need need to flick the switch again (give another dose of the remedy) until you see that the light is beginning to dim.

Dr. Farokh Master uses the 5 cup method, which you can look up on Youtube. This is his method of repeating daily, as he does not have confidence that the single dose method works. I have thirty years of experience working with the single dose method and I have seen its effectiveness time and again, so I do not agree that daily repetition is preferable, but he gets good results dosing in this manner, and I get good results dosing the way I do.

Most people on a centesimal scale remedy that is working well may only need to repeat the remedy one to three times in a year. Some people may go many years without needing a repetition. Many people need more than one remedy to bring about optimum health. One remedy may address certain symptoms, certain states of being, and then an underlying state emerges after the first remedy, and they need another remedy to address that new state. People may cycle through a number of remedy states even in short amounts of time. Each successive remedy bringing greater health.

LM Potencies

LM potencies are also known as Quin potencies and 50 millesimal potencies, and referred to by Hahnemann as medicine au globule.  LM does not stand for 50,000, but for 950. I learned this from Kim Elia’s class on the History of Homeopathy. No one knew about LM potencies until 1921 when the sixth edition of the Organon of Medicine written by Samuel Hahnemann was finally published. Prior to 1921 the 4th edition of the Organon was the one people relied upon and the centesimal scale is what it advocated. Great teachers such as James Tyler Kent popularized and explained how to use the centesimal scale remedies.

The LM potencies are not prepared in the same manner as the centesimal scale remedies. One grain of a medicinal substance is triturated with 100 grains of milk sugar for one hour, and then a grain of that is triturated with another 100 grains of milk sugar for an hour, and the process is repeated three times, so that you have three hours of trituration. Then one grain of that is dissolved in 500 drops of a mixture of 90 proof grain alcohol and one part distilled water. A single drop of that is mixed in a vial with another 100 drops of grain alcohol, corked tightly and succussed 100 times. This is the first degree of dynamization. Then fine sugar globules are moistened with the liquid, dried on blotting paper, put in a corked bottled and labeled the LM1 potency. To prepare the next strength a globule of the previous strength is placed in a new vial with a drop of water to dissolve it, then 100 drops of wine spirit or grain alcohol is added to the vial. The tightly corked vial is successed 100 times, and the process of moistening sugar globules with the remedy and labeling it LM2 is completed. This process is repeated for each subsequent level of dynamization.

Hahnemann felt that in certain chronic cases the LM potencies would speed up the healing process dramatically. The LM potencies are administered in water, and doses can be taken daily or at longer intervals. He emphasized that it was never admissble to repeat the remedy in an exactly identical form. By shaking or succussing the stock bottle that holds the remedy before taking each dose, the medicine was slightly altered with each dose.

By using this method of administration the remedy could be repeated at frequent intervals without any detriment. This is what Hahnemann says about frequency of repetition for LM potencies in aphorism 248, paragraph 2:

“In protracted diseases, give the medicine daily or every second day. In acute diseases, give the medicine every six, four, three or two hours. In the most urgent cases, give the medicine every hour or even more frequently. In chronic diseases, every correctly chosen homeopathic medicine, even one whose action is of long duration. may be repeated daily for months, with ever-increasing success [when fifty-millesimal potencies are used].

How do LM potencies work in practice?

In practice I have noticed that LM potencies can be very efficient, but they can also present challenges when the dosing is not quite right. It often takes people about three to four weeks working with the remedy to figure out the best frequency of repetition and dosing. Some people do very well taking the remedy daily for months, and other people are very sensitive to the remedy, and have to be careful with how to take it.

In the past the way I worked was to start with the LM1 bottle, and when that was finished I moved to the LM2 bottle, and then the LM3 and so forth. Nowadays I ask the client to hold the LM bottles of different strengths, and I can feel intuitively which strength resonates the best with the client, and that is the potency we begin with. When ascending from the lower to the higher LM potencies each successive bottle is stronger than the previous one, so you move up in potency as you move to the higher bottles. Hahnemann, says that it is okay to move to the next higher strength after seven or eight doses from the LM1 bottle, so you do not have to finish one bottle before moving to the next..

LM or Quin Potency Instructions

These directions are constantly evolving. I revise them as I gain more experience using LM or Quin Potencies. This is my latest revision. My goal is to make the instructions clear and understandable. It has taken me many years to understand how to work with LM or Quin potencies safely. I appreciate any suggestions you have to improve them.

1.    Succuss the stock bottle 5 times before each use.  You do this by hitting the bottle
against a book.  (Note: It is best to take the remedy at the time of the day when you feel at your best. Please don’t take it at the same time you are eating. Give it about one hour away from meal times).

2.    Pour a teaspoon of liquid from the stock bottle into a cup with 4 oz. of water in it, and stir.  (Please see Various Dosage Quantity Examples below to learn about adjusting the quantity you take to your needs).

3.    Drink one teaspoon of the 4 oz. mixture (or the amount recommended by your homeopath).

4.       Discard the remainder of the liquid on the ground, or pour the liquid into a sealed container that you can dispose of at your convenience. Please prepare the medicine in the bathroom, so as to avoid exposing other family members to the remedy, and set aside special cups and a spoon for this purpose. You may also use disposable cups.

5.     Take only one dose and do not repeat the remedy. Please be in contact with me by sending me weekly progress reports in the first month of treatment. My goal is to identify two or three symptoms that we can use as markers that will help us determine when you should repeat the remedy. A single dose of an LM or Quin potency remedy can hold many months, and can potentially cure. These remedies need to be repeated with as much care and caution as when working with centesimal scale remedies. When repeated too soon, they can  cause severe aggravations of your symptoms, which we want to do our best to avoid.

When you first begin taking LM potencies I recommend that you take one dose and evaluate yourself three days later. Do not repeat in the meantime. At the end of the third day ask yourself if you see improvement in any symptoms. If you do see improvement, do not repeat the remedy, because the remedy is working and the healing process is unfolding on that first dose.  That one dose you took is capable of holding for weeks or even months. The only reason to repeat is if you start to see that the symptoms that you saw an improvement in have been moving backward for awhile.

It is important that you do not repeat the remedy before clear evidence of a relapse is evident, because repeating too soon can cause an aggravation of symptoms that can last awhile.

Another thing to note is that is that if you see an aggravation of symptoms by day three,  that is another indication that the remedy is on the job and looking for symptoms that it needs to work on, and bringing them up for treatment. You should not repeat the remedy while symptoms are aggravating. The aggravation should be followed by an amelioration. You would only repeat the remedy if symptoms that got better after the aggravation started to relapse for a while.

Some people need to take the remedy at frequent intervals and others need to repeat the remedy very rarely. Here are common intervals at which people take their LM or Quin potency remedy doses:

Common Intervals at which People Take Their LM Potency Doses

Some people benefit from taking the remedy daily. These people have to be aware that a point will come when they need to stop. That point is when they feel an amelioration of symptoms or an aggravation of symptoms. They should then follow the rules of repetition I have described above.

Some people take the remedy 2 times a week.
Some people take the remedy once a week.
Some people take the remedy once every two weeks.
Some people take the remedy once a month.
Some people take the remedy at 45, 60, 120, or 180 day intervals and longer.
Some people need only one dose of the remedy in total.

If you need the remedy frequently, you may need to order more of it. Here is information on how to order, and going up in potency:

When you come close to the end of the stock bottle, please send me an e-mail to let me know. You can get the next bottle from Hahnemann Laboratories. Their phone number is 1-888-226-6483. You may also purchase the remedy from other reputable homeopathic pharmacies.  Each time you order a bottle it has to be one strength higher than the previous bottle, so LM1 will be followed by LM2, and then LM3.

Another thing that is important is that I will ask you not to completely finish the LM1 bottle, but leave about a teaspoon in the bottom. The reason for this is that for some people the LM2 from the pharmacy is too strong. In that case we can prepare an LM2 from the remains of what is in the LM1 bottle. I will explain how to do that.

Protocol for the Sequence of Bottles:

The LM1 is usually followed by the LM2, the LM3 and so forth, so that you move up consecutively in the sequence. From my experience, however, I have found that people may resonate better to certain potency levels than others. I can often test that intuitively when I see them in person. So for some people it is more beneficial to go from an LM1 to an LM3 and skip the LM2.

Do We Have to Finish a Bottle Before Going to the Next Level Up?

If you feel that the benefit from the remedy is plateauing, meaning that you do not experience increasing benefit from continuing with that dose of the remedy, it is okay to go up to the next level of the LM potency without finishing the bottle at the level where you are at.

Different people need different dosage quantities depending upon their sensitivity to the remedy. Here are some examples of various dosage quantities:

Various Dosage Quantity Examples

One teaspoon from the stock bottle into 4 oz. of water in a cup.

Half a teaspoon from the stock bottle into 4 oz. of water in a cup.

Double dilute by taking one teaspoon or half a teaspoon or a quarter of a teaspoon from the stock bottle and putting it in 4 oz. of water in a cup, stirring, and then transferring one teaspoon or half a teaspoon or a quarter of a teaspoon into another cup and stirring. Very sensitive people can also triple or quadruple dilute.

The important thing is for you to determine how much and how often to take the remedy to keep the healing process moving forward, while keeping aggravations to a minimum. Aggravations can be reduced by decreasing the quantity of remedy used, and by double and triple diluting.

Aggravations on LM or Quin Potencies and What they Mean

People can definitely have aggravations of their symptoms on LM or Quin potencies equal and even exceeding in intensity to what people have on centesimal scale remedies. This is why dosage and frequency or repetition have to be monitored very carefully.

Generally speaking an aggravations of symptoms is an indication that the remedy has found the symptoms it needs to work on and is working on them. It is important not to interrupt this process, but allow the aggravation to play itself out. The aggravation should be followed by an amelioration. The goal of using LM or Quin potencies is to keep the healing moving forward, while keeping the aggravations to a minimum.

If you experience a strong aggravation of symptoms it can mean that you need to decrease the quantity of the dose the next time you take it. For example: go from 1 teaspoon from the stock bottle down to a 1/4 of a teaspoon from the stock bottle and triple dilute, transferring only a 1/4 of a teaspoon from each dilution cup.

If you experience an amelioration of symptoms after taking a remedy, you should not repeat the remedy until the symptoms that have gotten better have relapsed for four to five days. Repeating before you are supposed to can trigger a strong aggravation that can take up to three weeks to recover from, so be careful.

Here are some ways to decrease the strength of the dose:

a) Give fewer succussions or shakes to the bottle.
b) Dilute twice by taking one teaspoon from the first cup and putting it in another cup with four ounces of water and then drinking a teaspoon from that. You can even dilute three or four times, if you are very sensitive
c) Use less than a full teaspoon from the stock bottle.
d) Reduce the frequency of taking the dose.

Here are some ways to increase the strength of the dose:

a) Increase the number of succussions to the bottle.
b) Increase the frequency of taking the dose.
c) Increase the number of teaspoons that you drink from the cup (not the stock bottle).

The beauty of the LM or Quin potencies is that you can monitor yourself, preferably with the help of your homeopath, and take your remedy when you need to.  You are not supposed to develop a dependency on the remedy.  It is designed to bring you to health and independence.  When you no longer have any symptoms you may discontinue the remedy, and only resume if the symptoms start back up again.

Please call or send me an e-mail if you have any questions about your response to the remedy, or whether you should start or stop. It usually takes people about four weeks to figure out exactly how best to take the remedy, so there is a learning curve. The goal is to keep aggravations to a minimum, while maintaining the effectiveness of the remedy. I would be happy to help you with fine tuning the remedy to your needs.

When to use LM Potencies and when to use Centesimal Scale Remedies?

This is the million dollar question?

LM Potencies:

I usually use LM potencies for people who are taking allopathic medication or are using a few health modalities at the same time that they are using homeopathy.

I often use LM potencies for people with eczema and other skin conditions, though I may prefer a centesimal scale remedy..

I often use LM potencies for older clients where I am concerned that they may have a hard time tolerating an aggravation.

I often use LM potencies for people who are in pain from various causes, where you want them to have more control over frequency of repetition.

I often use LM potencies when there are tissue changes and you want the person to have a continuous regular stimulus.

I often use LM potencies for people who tend to have frequent acute illnesses.

Centesimal Scale Remedies:

I usually use centesimal scale remedies when I feel the person has a strong vital force, and they are not taking other medications, or using other health modalities simultaneously.

I will often ask people do you prefer to take a one shot deal dose or a daily dose, and if they say one shot deal dose, I will give them the centesimal scale remedies. Many people just like the convenience of taking the remedy once and not having to think about it again for a long time.

The decision is often also an intuitive one based on factors that I would have a hard time enumerating.

Conclusion:

I know I have said way too much, and I should have stopped long ago. I hope you enjoy a lifetime of good health, aided by homeopathy, or any modality that works for you when you need it.

Note regarding blog comments:

Dear Friends,
I appreciate your visiting my website and reading my articles and taking the time to write your comments. I welcome your comments and will post them if it looks like what you have to say will be helpful to others. I may not write a comment back, but will let the article itself present my point of view.

I am no longer responding to people’s questions regarding personal health matters on my blog, because it becomes stressful for me due to the volume of such questions that I get.

Also there is no way I can actually answer these questions properly without familiarizing myself with the person’s  health.

For anyone who is interested in working with me, please complete the appropriate questionnaire and send it to me. This way I will know that you are ready to move forward with a consultation.

I wish you the best of health.

Peace be with you,

I understand you cannot equate the C scale and LM scale but I’m wondering about an approximate comparison.
For ex- is 1M similar to maybe LM 6 or more like LM 12?

    Thank you

  1. Dear Anshu,
I am sorry for my delay in responding. All homeoapaths have different understandings about how to dose. From my perspective this is very excessive. My suggestion when working with LM potencies is to take a dose. The quantity to take should be determined by your sensitivity level. Please read the article to understand how to vary the quantity used to suit your sensitivity level.

Then I do not repeat the remedy until the dose that has been given has had a chance to go through its cycle. This means aggravation, followed by amelioration, followed by relapse. I only repeat after the relapse, because if you repeat too soon you can have strong and long lasting aggravations.

At this point, my recomendation is to stop taking the remedy and observe yourself for four to five weeks to see where everything falls out. I hope that after pausing you will find yourself in a much better place with your health.

    Hello Deborah,

Hope you are doing well, I am suffering from lichen planus pigmentous of skin, with lension on legs, hairline at the moment have very occasional itching, lately I have been under homeopathic treatment I have been prescribed Staphysagria LM1, 5 cup method , 1 teaspoonful, 3 times a day.

Can you help me further on this if I ma on the correct treatment and provide your views on the same.

  2. Dear Aditya,
Thank you for writing about your son and the homeopathic treatment that he has received. Here are my answers to your questions:

    1. Potencies higher than the 10M, are the 50M,CM, DM,and MM potencies. I shy away from using anything above a 10M, because the power of the higher potencies is extreme, and the aggravations can be very strong. I also avoid prescribing even the 10M, and do so very rarely. A 10M potency should be able to hold and have healing power for over a year, and even many years. I would not repeat a 10M before one year.

    2. I do not use my rational mind when selecting potencies. I rely on intuition and spiritual guidance. There is no routine answer to this question. Potencies can be varied according to the need of the patient, and the resonance of that potency and remedy to the patient.

    3. Since I have not taken your child’s case, I am not able to suggest any remedies.

I commend you for your perseverance and the motherly love that drives you to explore and seek answers to help your child.

My son aged 16 is 80% autistic, and mentally retarded; he cannot speak, but understands certain instructions like a pet. He can unscrew a bottle, drink water, screw back the water bottle, eat food using spoon by himself, mischievous and can do everything that is good for his own. He flapped hands, did not make eye contact earlier. He is completely mute, although I’ve taught him to speak “papa”, that he doesn’t know the meaning of, but can speak when “forced” to.

We never had him undergo allopathic medicines/treatment. After giving certain homeopathic medicines since Sept. 2017, we have noticed that he can make eye contacts now, hyperactivity/screaming is controlled, and most certainly understand more instructions than before.

Different medications (at least 12) were given to him from time to time, with the most effective ones being Agaricus muscarius, Agraphis Nutan, and Baryta Carb.( I’ve a record of all since start)

Initially, Baryta Carb was given in 200 potency; now the potency is raised to 10M, and this potency (10M) has been given 2 times till now; the second time 47 days (which is today) after the first time.

Three days after the first time Baryta carb (10M) was given, he suffered with excess cold/coryza with mucus draining from his nostrils. No allopathic medicines were given, eye contacts were greatly improved after his recovery.

I have a few questions, for which your great experience can be very valuable for his speedy recovery:

1 – What if much higher potency (than 10 M) of Baryta Carb is given? If yes, then what can be the possible potency, and at how much interval it needs to be given.

2 – Apart from Baryta Carb, the other medicines given were Agraphis-30, Agaricus-200, Thuja-200, Alumina-1M, Phosphorus-1M, Kali Brom-30, Tuberculinum -200, Silicea-1M, Aconite-30, Ignatia-30, Veretrum Album-1M. Certain other medicines like Belladona-30, Nux vom.-200, Calc Phos-6X, Sulphur-30/200 were given to control the “side effects”, or for other symptoms like constipation, lack of sleep etc. Can the potency of EACH these medicines be varied in order to get faster results? Please see that some were 30, some 200, and some 1M (but not 10 M, except for Baryta Carb)

3 – Would there be any other medications, that you may kindly suggest, along with the potency and interval, that may be beneficial to him?

4 – Based on your vast experience, please suggest anything that can improve his condition.

    Thank you very much.

  3. Dear Misha,
Thank you for writing. I am happy that this article has been helpful to you. Homeopathic posology is extremely confusing and no two homeopaths agree completely on this issue. You may also appreciate the article on How to Take Homeopathic Remedies.

I wish you continued success with homeopathy for your family, friends and clients.

    Hello Deborah,
The subject of potency is one that has remained a bit slippery for me.
I am not qualified in homeopathy. It entered my life at the birth of my first kid 17 years ago, and I’m happy to say that in these passing years, between me, my four sons and their dad there has been zero need for doctors or hospitals (except once for some stitches). Mostly thanks to the gift that is homeopathy.
Since I practice on so few people its slow work building my knowledge of what does what esp re: potency and dosage, though of course I have been gleaning understanding through the years, and putting some trust into Sankarans guidelines these last 18 months. but still, I don’t feel like I’m there yet with it.
I just wanted to say that this article has been, and will continue to be, so helpful. It ties up little loose ends in my mind, especially on repetition of the dose….and that heavy aggravation that comes if the right remedy is repeated too soon, and many other things that I can feel that you have a good feel for. So thanks very much
    Misha x

  4. Dear Naama,
Thank you for writing with your question. Another remedy that it could be good to consider is Silica, as this is good for the tendency to get abscesses, but I have not taken your case, so I cannot make any recommendations.

The LM potencies are very difficulty to manage, but they can be gentle if given in the appropriate dosage, diluted according to the person’s sensitivity, and administered at the right time, meaning when the current dose has exhausted its action, evident by a return of symptoms that had improved.

Thuja should be okay to take in pregnancy when the symptoms of the remedy match those of the patient.

I hope you have a very good response to the Thuja in the LM form.

    In love and service,

    Deborah Olenev CCH RSHom (NA)

    • Naama on October 29, 2018 at 1:25 pm

    Dear Deborah,
I’ve been treated in homeopathy for a couple of years to treat recurring abseccess, infections (possibly staph) and atopic skin conditions, but no substential improvement occured (I’ve been treated with pullsatilla, sulphur and sepia, in the C potency). Through that time period I also took lots of antibiotics. Now I’m in early stages of pregnancy and my homeopath prescribed me tuja occ in LM potency (she is aware to the fact that I’m pregnant and said it’s completely safe). I’ve read that it’s a remedy that is not recommended in pregnancy due to risk of abortion. Is that true? Is the LM potency the most “delicate” and appropriate potency for those matters and situations?
    Thank you for your advice,
    Naama

  5. Dear Vishal,
My recommendation is to stick with the centesimal scale, as it is working for you. You are already seeing a benefit from taking the Sulphur 200C.The LM potencies are much harder to work with than the centesimal scale remedies, and require close monitoring.

My suggestion is to monitor your response to the Sulphur 200C. Make a chart showing what symptoms have gotten better, have remained the same, are worse, new or old. You should only repeat the remedy if the symptoms that had gotten better move backward for about two weeks. That way you are sure not to interrupt an active dose. Please read the article on this website entitled How to Take Homeopathic Remedies.

A single dose of a 200C strength remedy can hold anywhere from a few months to many years, so don’t rush to repeat it. Trust that the healing process is unfulding as it should.

Also since you are having trouble with day dreaming, it would be very good for you to practice meditation daily, using a mantra. This will help train your mind to focus. Do not rely on the remedy to do this for you. Meet the remedy half way but cultivating yourself and training the mind.

    In love and service,

    Deborah Olenev

hello sir, regards.u seem very gentle person and excellent dr.I always stalk ur site and blogs.can u share your experience in cases of mental symptoms only(age 35,no physical ailments at all) which scale is better? centicemal or Lm potency?
i m sulphur constitution.i m taking remedy for dreamy nature (day dream excessively).no physical ailments at all
i taken sulphur 30 on 25 july 2 drop dry dose then sulphur 200 on 20 September 2 drop dry dose with good result.
my homeopth is very busy person he doesn’t want to elaborate about Lm potency.but i want better results.so my question is for MENTAL SYMPTOMS DOES LM POTENCY HAVE AN EDGE OVER CENTICEMAL? IS THIS A GOOD IDEA TO START LM POTENCY FOR ME? MY ILLNESS IS 15 YEARS OLD AND I WAS TAKING VARIOUS ALLOPATHIC ANTI ANXIETY DRUGS. I M NOT TAKING ANTIANXIETY DRUGS NOW, BUT I M STILL INTROVERT AND DREAMY NATURE, ONLY BENEFIT I GOT FROM SULPHUR IS I M NOT UPON THESE ALLOPATHIC MEDS BUT MY PRODUCTIVITY, NATURE TOWARDS OUTER WORLD IS SAME.I STILL THINK OR DAY DREAM ALOT.

  6. Dear Sue,
Thank you for your question. I am not sure how to answer your question. I don’t do what some homeopaths teach, which is to repeat the LM or Quin Potencies daily. I am actually very cautious with repeating LM potencies, and only repeat when I am sure that there has been a relapse of symptoms that had improved on the previous dose. I have seen too many times where strong aggravations occur from repeating the remedy too often.

Remember each time you take a dose you go back into reaction mode, where the remedy searches for what it needs to work on, and it can aggravate symptoms that have not completely resolved.

I do not know the details. How long did it take to go from LM1 to LM21. How frequently were the doses repeated? Is the remedy helping?

If I understand your question, it is how long to wait after you have paused from the LM potency to resume again. My answer would be to only resume if the symptoms that were helped by the last dose you took returned for at least a week. In the past I would say three days, but now I feel that it is better to wait longer than shorter to make sure you are not interrupting a dose that is still active.

    I hope this answer helps.

Thank you for the informative article. My question is this: If one is taking the LM remedies, example LM1- LM21 then stops, if that remedy is needed again in LM form, how long a time should one wait to repeat at LM1 again.

Again, thank you for doing this great service to educate about homeopathy.

  7. Dear Utkarsh,
Thank you for writing with your question. It sounds like the Thuja LM4 worked well and pushed the client back into the Psoric miasm. I would now retake his case and see if an antipsoric remedy covers the new picture. It is possible that he needs Sulphur, but you need to take his case and see which remedy covers the new symptoms.

I hope your client recovers soon from the itch.

    In love and service,

    Deborah Olenev CCH RSHom (NA)

  8. Dear Asim,
There are different opinions on this. From my experience the LM2 that you purchase from the pharmacy can sometimes be much stronger than what you get to by succussing the LM1 bottle over the course of time as you take it.

You can create an LM2 yourself using the remains of what is in your LM1 bottle, and see if that continues to be effective for you. If not, you can purchase the LM2 from the pharmacy.

Some homeopaths also recommend skipping potencies, like going from an LM1 to an LM3; and some say that some people do better with even numbers, and some with odd. Personally I ask for divine guidance in selecting the remedy, and try to sense what resonates the best with the client.

Good luck with working with the LM potencies.

Hello Deborah, i am a homoeopathic physician and i prescribed my friend Thuja occ in LM potency for warts on his hands and fingers. The warts got completely better after LM4 but he developed itch over his whole body. He has a history of suppressed itch so it was a good sign to get the old symptoms back. But its been more than 20 days now and i have stopped the medicine but his itching is severe over the whole body. What do you suggest i should do now?

  9. Hi Deborah,
If I am finished with a bottle of LM2 of a remedy, do I necessarily need to move to LM3? Or could I just dilute the remains and potentize it with successions? Thank you!

  10. Dear Raj Kumar,
Thank you for writing. I am sorry that you are suffering from diabetes. There are 681 remedies listed for diabetes in my materia medica search program, so this is not a symptom, which standing alone, can guide to the remedy. A homeopath would have to take your complete case to try to understand what remedy would help you with your health concerns.

I hope you find a homeopath to work with, and that you recover soon from the diabetes.

  12. Dear Chaitali,
Thank you for your question. I repeat 200C potencies very infrequently. Please read the article on my website entitled How To Take Homeopathic Remedies, as I have gone into depth in explaining the rules of repetition. There is also a slide show on that article that explains homeopathic posology for centesimal scale remedies.

I wish you health and happiness.

  13. Dear Mahesh,
Thank you for your thoughts. My personal feeling is that there is a place for both LM or Quin potencies and centesimal scale remedies. Some people resonate better to one than the other, so we need them all in our tool chest. It is important to have them, as well as to know how to use them safely and effectively.

I wish you all the best.

As Dr. Hahnemann introduced LM potency in 6th edition saying in the tranlators preface by W. Boerick that this is the most nearly perfect of all,,,,then why not follow the 6th edition…one tragedy again happens that Dr J T Kent didn’t receive the 6th edition. Sadly he passed away in 1916 and the 6th edition was published in 1921…. so now we all followf Dr Kent’s teachings. If Dr.Kent were present at the time of publication, we all definitely would be using LM potencies.

    Dear doctor
May I have a help from you ? For my remedy “Medorrhinum” for treatment of OCD that is about 30 years old and very deep rooted, i cannot find LM potencies in my locality.can i use 200c instead as a substitution ? If yes, then in what frequency to avoid possible aggrevations ?

  14. Dear Lahoma,
What I usually do when making LM potencies is order the pellets from Hahneman Laboratories. Their phone number is 1-888-226-6483. Then I put 1 or sometimes 2 poppyseed size granules in a 4 oz. amber glass jar with filtered water and a tablespoon or two of alcohol. This I call the stock bottle. Then you can follow the LM potencies directions to see how I administer the remedy, and the rules of repetition that I follow.

I hope this helps and that your cat feels better soon.

    In love and service,

    Deborah

    Hi Deborah,

This is a very informative article. I found it while trying to search for a reminder on how to make the pellet into a tincture. It has been several years since I made one and remember that I used the amber glass bottle – I have even forgotten what size bottle – filtered water and grain alcohol. I am wanting to make a LM 03 tincture of Ignatia for my cat who has issues with aggression, being overly emotional, stress, and overly needy of food. Would you please remind me of how to make a tincture? Thank you for the wonderful article.

  15. Dear Penny,
Thank you very much for writing back with your excellent comment. I think LM potencies are wonderful once you understand the rules of repetition that should be followed. Then one can have very positive experiences using LM potencies.

    Dear Deborah

Thankyou so much for your reply . What you say is true , that hyper-sensitivity improves in conjunction with progressive cure of the disease, during treatment , in my own experience ..
Both ( hypo and hyper ) types of sensitivity can delay the process of cure , I guess .
I suppose its all swings and roundabouts really : it is difficult to get any reaction at all out of hyposensitives and many reactions all over the place from hypersensitive, with many levels in between !
The important thing is persistence in recognition of these factors .

Many thanks also for clarifying the LM confusions , there is such conflicting information around : it is very much needed . Now I can understand the mistakes I’ve made when using LM .
    Very much appreciated .

  16. Dear Vee,
Thank you very much for writing. I am not familiar with the homeopaths that you mentioned, but homeopathy is such a beautiful system of medicine and I admire everyone who has undertaken to learn it and serve humanity through it.

In the way I work, I administer a remedy and then I wait and allow the healing process from the remedy to unwind without interrupting the dose. Ordinarily when you take a remedy a certain cycle will be set into motion. In the beginning the remedy will look for what it needs to work on and it will touch on the symptoms in your repertoire of symptoms. When it works on a symptom it will often raise the intensity of the symptom in order to push the symptom through.

These reactions can unfold over a long period of time, depending upon many factors such as how deeply rooted a symptom is, how long the person has had the symptom, how strong the potency is and so forth.

After the initial reaction phase there should be a time when symptoms begin to improve. If I evaluate at seven weeks from when the person took the remedy there should be some symptoms in the better category, some may still be aggravated as they are still in process, some may be the same. Old or new symptoms may also be present.

It is very rare for me to repeat the remedy at this point, but this is when I make the base-line chart of the patient’s symptoms. I tell the patient to watch the symptoms in the better category. If two or three of these symptoms start to move backward for a week or two, it may be an indication that the patient is ready for a new dose of the remedy.

A single dose of a 30C and 200C potency remedy can hold anywhere from a few months to years. In summary I do not repeat a remedy until the full circle has run its course: Initial aggravation, followed by amelioration, followed by a return of symptoms, indicating that the dose has gone full circle and it is safe to repeat the remedy.

I learned this method of posology from reading the homeopathic classics, such as the Organon of Medicine by Samuel Hahnemann and Kent’s writings. I know that there are an infinite number of variation as to how people practice homeopathy, but this method works for me, and has proven its accuracy and efficacy over decades of practice.

    In love and service,

    Deborah

What an interesting article! I found your website today because I was attempting to understand the differences between dosing amounts and what all the letters mean because I ran across a remedy with LM after it (didn’t know what that was, still not sure I understand it really). I am learning more and more about homeopathy, but have been reading more about Practical Homeopathy practiced by Joette Calabrese, and many of the protocols she has learned from the Drs. Banerji in India. I have been very impressed by her knowledge and dedication to homeopathy, and all the articles that she provides. Are you familiar with this type of homeopathy? Your opinion about it? I am very confused about the statements about taking only 1 dose of a remedy, then waiting an entire week or longer to ‘see what happens’. I’m not trying to *argue* here, just want to understand as much as possible. Thank you!

  17. Dear Penny,
Thank you for your wonderful comment.I agree with you that sensitive people are more likely to get antidoted by things in their environment or foods that don’t agree with them. They can also be very sensitive to the dosage of the homeopathic remedy, so their treatment needs to be handled with sensitivity and great care.

I have found that most sensitive people have already curtailed their diet and exposure to environmental stressors as much as they can. The hope is that the homeopoathic treatment can mitigate some of the hypersensitivity, but still hypersensitive people need to do what they can to minimize their exposure to things that are harmful to them.

    In love and service,

    Deborah

    • Penny Fulton on February 24, 2018 at 5:11 am

    Dear Deborah

I was just wondering about your reply to sensitive persons who say’ a remedy works well and then stops working after one week ‘.
This could be because sensitive persons are more susceptible to the effects of antidote , from anything other than the blandest foods and influences .
Everyone is subject to antidote, because the body has only been given a road map to follow of its own accord , there is no substance directing the body after the initial instructions received on the instant of taking the remedy .
Therefore any influence capable of interrupting directions in progress, will ‘ stop the remedy from working ‘.

It is very rare to find homoeopaths willing to even mention this most vital ! component of the ability of hom. remedies to cure .

I recognize that the facts of hom. remedy effectiveness being subject to ( especially by modern ideas of ‘ a healthy diet ‘ etc ) antidote from the otherwise considered innocuous and even ‘essential ‘ could deter the already sceptical, even further from real and simple cure ……but it is my belief that the loss is far greater from people who take a hom . remedy after having eaten garlic, fruit or a curry eg and it ‘not working ‘ and ditto at any time after taking it, after it has worked hitherto ( often unnoticed if it is a very short time later ) and ‘ not working , than by explaining or simply giving strict instruction on THE ONLY foods , etc to be consumed before and after taking .

    What is your opinion ?

  18. Dear Rezaul,
Thank you for your question. My feeling is that people can respond to a wide range of remedies, and that if the progress on the remedy you are taking has halted, despite increasing the potency, then it is a good idea to retake the case and see if there is another remedy that covers the remaining symptoms.

Also pay attention to what the chronic symptoms are that are not budging. Occasionally there are symptoms that do not budge despite finding remedies that do a lot of good work with the general health and other symptoms. Keep your eyes open for the missing piece of the puzzle. I know someone who had a chronic itching problem that lasted for many years. Other than that she felt she was in perfect health. What helped her was eating fresh garlic, which she put in a gel cap. Sometimes the solution is something as simple as that, and could involve making a dietary change.

I hope this answer is helpful, and I wish you all the best.

    In love and service,

    Deborah

Hello Deborah, It’s really an excellent job to clarify different scale with many useful recommendations. I really love your analysis and feel to follow this. I have an inquiry and hope you would respond . Sometimes, it is found that cure is half done. I mean in chronic cases. I mean to visualize a chronic case that responded well with a remedy but cure is stopped on the half way. Even the further repetition of the remedy or changing potencies doesn’t help drive the cure from its stopage, evenif the patient is still with the same symptoms, halfly ameliorated or improved. Which things should one consider to make the remedy respond again? Thanks.

  19. Dear PJ,
Thank you for your excellent question. It is not always easy to determine if a symptom is an aggravation or a proving. The way I do it is I take the complete case before administering the remedy, so I know what symptoms the client currently has and what symptoms are in the clients history. The symptoms in his or her history will remain in the cellular memory, and the remedy can locate them in the course of treatment.

If a symptom that has aggravated or intensified after taking a remedy that the client currently has, or is in his history, I would regard that as an aggravation and not a proving symptom.

If a symptom appears that the client does not currently have, or is not in his or her history, then I would regard it as a proving symptom. This is especially true if the symptom is a well-known symptom of the remedy.

Occasionally a symptom that does not belong to the patient shows up temporarily after taking a remedy. I regard this as the remedy trying the symptom on for size, but you can also call it a proving symptom. Ordinarily such symptoms fall away very quickly, because they do not belong to the patient.

I hope this answer is helpful and I wish you all the best.

    In love and service,

    Deborah

    Hi Deborah,

Thanks for your interesting article. I’m fairly new to Homeopathy and still learning the ins and outs.

Could you please explain the difference between an aggravation and a proving. Let’s take Ars Alb as an example. If the patient suffers from depression, irrational fears and OCD and they took one dose of Ars Alb (200C) and the remedy brought about an almost immediate 2 day episode of worsened depression and irrational fears. How can you tell if it’s just an aggravation or if it’s the wrong remedy and the patient is simply proving the remedy as should a healthy person who took the remedy? Thanks.

    Regards,
    PJ

  20. Dear Johnny,
I really have not heard of this method of going higher in the potency to treat the aggravation, so I cannot make a comment on it.

Honestly, the way I work is that I ask the clients to hold the remedies that I am considering for them, and ask for divine guidance in selecting the potency. I meditate two to three hours a day, to cultivate letting go of my own ego, and from that surrendered place I can ask for assistance, and the assistance is given.

If you were my client, this is how I would try to finalize the decision about what needs to be done next.

I wish you all the best.

    In love and service,

    Deborah

    • Johnny on July 18, 2017 at 8:59 am

Thank you for the answer, very helpful!

I have read on some sites that aggravation can be “treated” by taking a higher potency of the remedy, like in this case Ars Alb LM2 for example. What do you think of this idea? And if this worked, would it mean that the used potency was too low in the first place?

    Thanks again.

  21. Dear Johnny,
Thank you for your question, and I am very sorry that you are experiencing a bad aggravation from repeating Arsenicum album LM1 too frequently.

Your question is a very good one, and I wish I had an easy answer for you, but I am grateful for your blog comment, because it does confirm my own experience with using LM potencies and helps justify the caution that I recommend in repeating LM potencies carefully.

LM potenies are wonderful, and the rules of repetition of remedies that we apply to Centesimal scale remedies have to be applied here as well.

In terms of what you can do, here are some thoughts:

    1) Just ride out the aggravation. From my experience it can take three weeks for the aggravation to run its course.

    2) Retake your case and see whether the symptoms you are regarding as aggravation symptoms are actually guiding symptoms to another remedy. If that is the case, that would be good, because you can take the other remedy, and hopefully it will address the aggravated symptoms very soon.

From my own experience people can respond positively to a very wide range of remedies, so having another look at your case to see if there is a complementary remedy to Arsenicum album that you can take next is a good idea.

I hope you feel better soon.

    In love and service,

    Deborah Olenev CCH RSHom (NA)

    • Johnny on July 17, 2017 at 12:23 pm

    Hello

Is there anything to stop the aggravation after taking the 4th dose needlessly? I got aggravation after the 3rd dose and should have stopped there – but I didn’t, instead I took another dose one week after and got much worse aggravation from that. The remedy was Ars Alb LM1. Thank you very much!

  22. Dear Mohamed,
Thank you for your question, and I am sorry for my delay in responding. Yes, a 6C is approximately the same strength as a 12X. I am very careful about repetition, and never repeat a remedy routinely. Please see my article on How to Take Homeopathic Remedies to learn about the Rules of Repetition that I follow. Here is a link to the article: https://homeopathyforhealth.net/2016/07/16/how-to-take-homeopathic-remedies/

A single dose of a remedy has a potential to hold a long time, clear off a layer or cure. I would only repeat the remedy, no matter what strength it is, if you see symptoms getting better and then relapsing. If you repeat the remedy frequently you keep yourself in initial reaction mode and do not allow the healing process to unfold, which essentially slows down the treatment.

I wish you success with homeopathy.

    in love and service,
    Deborah

hi, I am trying to self medicate using homeopathy as I have been seeing a homeopath for a few months and not found any relief. I found that the lowest potency available where I live is 6C. Some are available at 6X potency. From what I understand, is 6C the same as 12X and is it safe to try out a remedy at the level of 6C at the dosage of twice a day? Also, how long do I have to stick on to this remedy if I do not find any change and decide to move on to the next remedy?

  23. Dear Olga,
Thank you for your question. I have never heard anyhone say that LM potencies can cause “grave damage to the vital force.” I do not believe that is true.

Whenever you are taking homeopathic remedies or giving them to your children, it is important that you work with a classically trained homeopath, who knows what they are doing. The main principals of Classical homeopathy are:

    one remedy at a time
choose the remedy for the patient that has produced similar symptoms in provings on healthy people.

LM or Quin potencies are beautiful to work with, and are a very good choice for people who are taking many medications, or are highly sensitive.

I hope you have great success with homeopathy for your son.

    In love and service,

    Deborah

    Hello Deborah,
I went to see homeopath last night for my son who is 6 years old and we been prescribe LM potency. He has been taking 200C last year and it didn’t work for him
But I also read that LM potency can do ‘grave damage to vital force’ is that true?
I am very concern now to weather I should give him or not?

  24. Dear Stefan,
I would recommend that you work with a homeopath, because you are very sensitive, and what seem like indicated remedies are not holding for you.

Also some people respond better to certain potencies, and do not do well when they change the potency. It is good to know that you respond well to the 30C. Now it would be good to find a remedy that you resonate well with.

When a remedy only holds a week, it is usually an indication that the remedy is not correct. Another possibility is that the aggravation starts at the one week point and you interpret it as the remedy not working, instead of waiting six to seven weeks to allow the healing process to go through the complete cycle, which means aggravation, followed by ameolioriation.

Good luck with homeopathy for achieving your health goals.

    In love and service,

    Deborah

    • Stefan on December 1, 2016 at 2:28 pm

    Hi!

As Keren above me states, I am also very sensitive.

It is funny because I respond well to 30c, but they never seem to help. I have found 2 remedies which really help me, but they both stopped working after 1 week.

I did the logical thing, I took a 200c for the remedy that helped me. Well every 200c I have ever taken in any remedy makes me feel depressed, tired, and overall just yucky. So I tried to do a LM of one of the 2 remedies that helped me, and I decided to take a LM3 and dilute it 2 times. Again, it was too strong and I got the same reaction from a 200c.

I have read the 200c=lm6 (roughly) and lm3=30c (again roughly). Would you agree with this? What should I do?

  25. Greetings,
For preparing a lecture I was searching on google about LM Potencies and your article on the same came out, Its really beautiful, concise and comprehensible. My thanks an appreciation.
can I use some excerpts from your article in my lecture, of course with your reference and lot of thanks
    Dr. Mir Zahed

    Dear Mr. Zahed,
Thank you very much for your kind words. Yes you can use excerpts from my article on your lecture.

I recently took Will Taylor’s class on Homeopathic Posology and I learned a lot from this class.

Hahnemann, for example was very dedicated to the ideal of reducing aggravations as far as possible, so he was very careful with dosing, He would use only one pellet of the remedy for a dose. He also did most of his work with low potencies. Only at the end of his life did he go up to a 30C, and he only prescribed a 200C a few times.

It has to be borne in mind that when he talks about repeating the remedy for a few days during acutes, he is usually working with very low potencies like a 6C, and not the high potency remedies that we use these days.

The dosing we are using with Centesimal scale remedies was very much influenced by James Tyler Kent and American homeopaths who were working with high potency remedies and were not so concerned about keeping aggravations to a minimum. 30C and 200C was considered low potency to them and they would use multiple pellets instead of the one pellet that Hahnemann would use. Their low potency was Hahnemann’s highest potency.

I am starting to want to prescribe centesimal remedies more like I have been prescribing LM potencies. I feel that one has evolved out of the other and we have lost that connection. It makes really no sense that we use only one pellet for an LM bottle, which corresponds to about a 6C in the centesimal scale, but use anywhere from 3 to 15 pellets when prescribing centesimal remedies. How did this strange thing come about, considering that the 200C is ever so much stronger that an LM1.

It makes much more sense to also prescribe only one pellet of the 200C rather than numerous pellets, and only one teaspoon rather than several teaspoons or tablespoons to keep aggravations down. Hahnemann used wet doses in his practice.

Another thing that Will Taylor taught, which comes from the Organon is that if you see a strong aggravation or amelioration of the symptoms after a dose it is an indication that you need to discontinue administering the remedy, and allow the healing process to proceed uninterrupted. This goes for both LM potencies and centesimal scale remedies.

Anyway these are some recent thoughts I have had about homeopathic posology, which I thought I would share with you. I hope your lecture goes very well.

    In love and service,

    Deborah Olenev CCH RSHom (NA)

Since i have read the water doses I am giving 1 globule of 6c or 30c dissolve in water as we use LMs, but you are right we miss it when we are giving single dose of 200c or 1M.

    Dear Dr. Zahed,
Thank you very much for letting me know that you have been implementing the suggestion of using one globule for 200C and 1M potencies. I would be very interested to see how your clients are responding to that. Please continue to stay in communication with me to share your experience.

Hahnemann held the ideal of minimizing the aggravation, which the Kentian homeopaths did not consider that important. It would be interesting to really see in the field what the difference is with using a minimal stimulus and how patients respond to it.

Thank you very much for writing. I wish you health and happiness in the new year. I will go on line to buy your book.

    Respected Homoeopath Deborah Olenev
    I hope you are fine
I think 17-18 months have passed when you conveyed to me the idea of single dissolved globule as a dose. I completely converted to this method and started giving single dissolved globule to every patient whatever is the prescribed potency. I give 6c, 30, 200,1M, 10M, LMs and even 6X and 12X only one globule/pellet dissolved in water. if its a higher potency 200, 1M etc I fill a 2 dram dropper tow third with water, dissolve one globule of the potency in it and give it to patient as a dose,
if it is 6c or 30 and has to be continued for some days I prepare it in 60ml or 120 ml bottle just like we prepare LMs for dispensing to the patients.
THE RESULTS ARE VERY BEAUTIFUL AND SATISFYING. I had to hear complaint of aggravation from only one or I think two patients out of nearly one thousand cases that I dealt in this period.
One thing that I especially observed, is that if the old symptoms start appearing in the reverse order that are so mild and less troubling to the patients. Patients given medicine this way very easily undergo the process of healing and wait for what happens next. this was never seen in our previous random-number-globules dry dosage method. that time I always practiced with the fear of aggravations.

When I initially heard this idea from you i discussed it to a colleague. to my surprise he told that he is using one dissolved globule from many years. I was much impressed. but by chance I visited his clinic after a few days, had the chance to see his dispensary. very funny to see that his globules were 40 number. 30 times bigger than those that i was using. though he was using single globule yet his dose was much much bigger than which we actually can term the smallest possible dose.

Last days in the online course of Dr. Rajan Sankaran I came to know about the split dose method. giving a dose divided into 3-4 doses. now I prepare the split dose also with single globule. I dissolve one globule in 3-4-6 spoons of water in dropper and give it to patient to take BD or TDS for one or tow days.

So this is the story and I am really very very thankful to you for your valuable and beautiful contribution to my knowledge and practice.
    Thanks and best regards.

    Dear Dr. Zahed,
I am so grateful to you for writing me with your experience of using the single globule.

I would like to ask you a question. How long are you finding the doses holding on average, and how are you administering the globule. Are you administering it dry or in water?

How much water do you use? Are you succussing between doses? Are you varying the amount of water when repeating?

I would like to post your comments and this discussion on my article about LM potencies with your permission. Thank you.

    In love and service,

    Dear Deborah

Thanks for the communication and sorry for late reply,
last days have been a little busy. here are answers to your questions
Q: How long are you finding the doses holding on average,
A: Different duration on different patients in different conditions. so I adjust further repetition according the duration of first doses/doses given.

Q: and how are you administering the globule. Are you administering it dry or in water?
    A: Dissolved in water

Q: How much water do you use?
A: one spoon if single dose, if repeated doses, one globule in 3-4 table spoons, and if the potency is low say 6 or 30 and is to be repeated for several days, then one globule in 8 table spoon or 15 table spoons.
Q: Are you succussing between doses?
    A: yes
Q: Are you varying the amount of water when repeating?
A: Mostly I give one spoon, but if the progress is slow then i increase the amount of water as 1/4 or 1/2 cup as a dose, and some times (rarely) reduce the dose to half spoon. as we work with LMs.
And publishing the discussion would be honor for me.

    Best regards

  26. Dear Karen,
Either the LM or centesemial scale remedies could be fine for you. One would just have to work with great care. In both cases the remedy can be given highly diluted and the quantity that you take of the remedy could be a very small amount, so as to avoid causing an unpleasant aggravation. Repetition would have to be done with care and only when there is evidence of a relapse.

I wish you all the best.

    Hi Deborah
Thank you for the interesting article. I tend to suffer from long aggravations, I am extremely sensitive to the remedies, would you recommend lm or c ?
